Hey there. How've you been? I've missed you.
I realize it's not atypical for me to disappear from the blogosphere for months at a time so you probably didn't even notice I'd been away. I do tend to get super focused when I'm busy with looming deadlines and involved projects and seemingly drop off the face of the earth from time to time - so I suppose this time seems no different from where you're sitting. But from my end, well, it has been pretty different.
Here in the Artstuff Studio everything is still the same, still always changing: happily designing and making, developing new products and expanding on old ones. New things are still always happening - I've just not been very diligent in sharing them with you lately (I promise I will start catching up with all that).
Outside the studio, however, the Real Life machine has required a cold reboot - and I suppose I've had to give it time to completely cool off before switching it back on to reset. I think it may be still running self-diagnostics before we're back to 100%, but not to worry. It's all working.
My sketchbook has gone from the crazy scrawling manifesto it had recently started to resemble (seriously, page after page of these little notes)
to quite literally a patchwork of inspirational quotes amongst the usual doodles.
In certain ways my life is becoming something different than I ever expected it to be. But it's still an extremely blessed and happy life that I'm so grateful to be living, and I am totally looking forward to the next half.
As I inch my way back to where I'm more regularly communicating with the outside world again, I will get back into the habit of sharing inspiration and good vibes here on the old blog.
In the meantime, here's to this exact happy moment we're in right . . . . now! . . . and all the rest to follow.
Thanks for still being out there - and while I've got your attention: we're sort of overdue for a fabric giveaway or two, and I'll tell you that I have heard that giant house-shaking THUNK on my front porch a couple times lately (which always means one thing: NEW FABRIC! YAY!)
...so stay tuned for that next week.
Talk to you soon!
