Running through Whole Paycheck as fast as I could this morning to grab a couple quick groceries and essentials, I decided to veer over to the aromatherapy-candle-aisle to snatch up something (anything, please!) in an attempt to find a little Clarity, Enlightenment, Rejuvenation, and Harmony (yes, those are the names of the actual candles I ended up buying) and somehow, I'm really not sure how it happened, this guy jumped into my basket and followed me home.
Maybe the expression on his face was a little like looking in the mirror the past few days (you think I'm kidding?!) although, unlike myself, he gets away with making that kind of face because he is covered in snuggly-soft terrycloth and filled with krinkly-skooshy buckwheat (on me, it's only a disturbing and slightly creepy look on my face).
Whatever it is, it seems to be some sort of kismet and he will definitely be joining me on my flight to NY in less than a month for Surtex (yikes, did I say less than a month? Oh man, here comes that face again). And, until then...well, he does make me smile, which inspired me to post another installment of "Things That Make Me Smile" to share with you.
So, for now...once I light these candles and put on some calming music, I should be ready to face the rest of my day, accomplishing the thousand-or-so tasks on my list (really, that many...just for today) and hopefully my face will loosen up enough that I stop looking so much like my new little green friend.
Wishing you smiles and comforting things today too.

OOOooohhhhh Beth.... You know what makes me smile?? Your blog :) I look so forward to what you are going to write about next. I just love your little green guy too! I cannot believe NY is just around the corner and I can totally relate with you. It is coming up tooooooo quick! panic.. panic... panic... But I am looking forward to seeing you!
