Well, according to this guy, we all have 6 more weeks of winter.
Which means any self-respecting bee (in my neck of the woods, at least) is cozily tucked away someplace warm and protected, building up reserves for the busy warmer months to come.
But here's a way to warm your garden (and your heart) during this otherwise dark and frosty month. My new Valentine's Day garden flag by Toland Home Garden comes in 2 sizes and is available now at a garden-store near you!

Ok...and for you super-detail-oriented folks looking at this...yes, I know. Someone who designs garden-flags really needs to get herself a real garden-flag-hanger. Raspberry-stalk trimmings just don't cut it. I know.

Both of these things are adorable. I love the Valentines flag and the branch adds a real earthy touch. My son Max kept insisting today was that special Groundhog Day but we were not sold. I guess it must be. I know you love animals but this groundhog is he your pet?

I like the raspberry cane, Beth! But maybe we could all chip in and buy you a real hanger. ;-) Mine is rusting out. Maybe we should all buy in bulk! ;-) I love the flag. The simplicity of it says it all.
Happy Day After Groundhog Day to you! He lives not far from here but we chased him out from under our back porch when we moved into the house. Had quite a nest!
